Little Yellowstone Park is a 27 acre campground and multi-use recreation area located 4 miles south and 1 mile east of Kathryn on State Highway 46. The park is nestled in the hills and valley along the Sheyenne River with a small spring-fed stream running through the park.

The Park Manager manages 2 part-time staff, Campground Hosts and oversees the day to day operation of the park. The park is managed by the Barnes County Park Board and provides 34 campsites – 16 electrical and 18 more secluded primitive (non-electrical) campsites. Some of the nicest sites are located in the upper portion of the park. They do not have electrical hook-ups but provide seclusion and are perfect for tents and small campers.
